Adventist Church's calendar of special days approved for 2010

Days of emphasis promote healthful living, outreach

Next year's calendar for special emphasis days in the Seventh-day Adventist world church received approval yesterday, offering members and congregations guidelines for promoting the church's values.

Meeting at the church's world headquarters for annual business meetings, the Executive Committee voted on days of promotion on issues ranging from religious liberty and evangelism to healthful living and abuse awareness.

The calendar also includes several days highlighting the denomination's commitment to youth and families, as well as mission outreach.
