Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands honored three Seventh-day Adventists for their community service along with other national award recipients during an annual ceremony on April 30.

Pastoral worker Jan Kerssen was knighted into The Order of Orange-Nassau in the town hall in Groningen, by its Mayor Peter Rehwinkel. Kerssen was awarded for his commitment to smoking-cessation programs and for his involvement in setting up an inner-city drop-in center, The Oasis, in conjunction with other Protestant churches in Groningen.

Husband and wife Dimitri Triantos and Magda Trianto-van Kooij of the Dordecht Adventist Church were also awarded Members of the Order of Orange-Nassau for their work with the charity International Children's Care.

The Order of Orange-Nassau is a national civil and military honor typically awarded during an annual ceremony on the queen's birthday, April 30.

Wim Altink, president of the Adventist Church in the Netherlands, commended the award recipients for their community involvement.

"An involved community church is a relevant church," Altink said. "It is great to see that the tireless efforts of Jan Kerssen, Dimitri and Magda Triantos are appreciated in this way."

I praise God for those people. I believe that in every country, state, city, Adventist should be know first for their caring spirit and involvement in their community with positive attitude of making difference.
Then, only then we should be know for our life, our faith in Jesus Christ our saviour.

(Not as in some places we are perceived as a colt, or people who condemns if you eat meet, or we are the most richest and critical people.)

Thank God for the true servants of God who flowChart example who served others in their physical needs first.

It is very nice that a queen is honoring the involvement into the community service. However, this is just a glimpse of joy you will feel when the King of Kings will honor you with the words: "Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Mat. 25:34.

More than the doctrines (in fact, not the dogmas) - it is Jesus' love that God ordained to be the "mark" of God's disciples according to Matthew 5:16. EGW even said, "a loving and lovable chistian is the strongest argument in favor of christianity."

God be glorified with this citation of His people's good works!
