Employees and friends of Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan, formed a cricket team and are now sharing the Loma Linda University’s motto “to make man whole” with other teams throughout the country. Many Wazir Akbar Khan employees feel a special connection to Loma Linda University – an institution of the Adventist Church – because of the long relationship between the two institutions. LLU’s Global Health Institute recently helped purchase uniforms and equipment for the team and assisted in the repair of the team’s cricket field. [photo courtesy LLU]
