Church leaders in Europe respond to a tragic fire in Romania

Leaders expressed condolences to families affected by the tragedy in Bucharest.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church's Inter-European Division expressed its condolences last week to the affected families of a deadly fire that broke out during a free concert in Bucharest, Romania.

Out of the 400 people in attendance of the heavy metal concert, at least 27 people were killed and 180 were injured after a fireworks display malfunctioned. Church leaders of the Inter-European territory released a statement during the region's annual year-end business meetings.

The statement says:"We would like to express our deepest condolences to the families who lost their beloved children last night in the fire accident occurred during a concert. May God comfort all these families and bring healing to their broken hearts in the wake of this unexpected and tragic event."
