Pastor Kurnaedi from Indonesia, dressed in a traditional Javanese puppet master costume, demonstrates at a fair earlier this month how he uses Wayang Kulit, or “shadow puppet,” a popular Indonesian theater technique, to convey stories and lessons from the gospel. The “Big Four” fair was held at the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies, a graduate school in the Philippines. The fair highlights the training of front-line pastors to reach and understand people groups in the 10/40 window—from North Africa to Southeast Asia.
