Port-au-Prince, Haiti ... [ANN] An Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) worker was among those killed after bandits attacked a public transport vehicle in Haiti, on Wednesday, February 10. Enks St. Fleur, an ADRA maternal/child health (MCH) facilitator, was en route to Cap Haitien when the attack occurred.
St. Fleur had just finished some personal business in Port-au-Prince and was on his way back to northern Haiti where he works on ADRA’s MCH projects.
“After stealing whatever they could, the bandits then shot the passengers,” reports Ed Baumgartner, ADRA Haiti director. “St. Fleur was shot twice in the neck and later died as a result of his injuries.”
St. Fleur began working for ADRA Haiti in June 1993. He was recently transferred to his current position with the MCH project. St. Fleur was a member of the Temple Adventiste church. He was not married, but his immediate family is based in Carrefour. [Beth Schaefer]
