ANN Feature: Adventist Students Share Experiences of Secular Campus Life

This is Osmar Domingos dos Reis Jr.'s last year studying psychology at Centro de Ensino Universitario de Brasilia. The 27 year-old Brazilian is one of 250,000 Adventist students studying on a secular campus globally. Before coming to this school he attended Adventist schools all his life. His reasons for studying at a secular school are similar to many of his peers. "By the time I started college, Brazil didn't have an [Adventist] university providing a psychology degree," He said.

Ivory Coast: Adventist Leaders Evacuated Safely to Ghana

Officials of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's world headquarters are safe in Ghana after being evacuated from the Ivory Coast which is being plagued by uprisings. The leaders are expected to return to their homes in the United States and Britain in the next few days. An Adventist Risk Management employee is due to leave Abidjan on Nov. 11, a church spokesman said.

Egypt: New Church Dedicated; Leaders Meet Officials
