First International Music Festival at Sahmyook University, Korea
The first International Music Festival at Sahmyook University in Korea, Dec. 22, 2001, welcomed foreign diplomats working away from home during the holiday season. Dr. Nam Daegeuk, president of the Adventist university, greeted visitors, including the ambassadors of Belgium and Ecuador. The program was created as a joint project of Sahmyook University, an Adventist educational institution with more than five thousand students, and the public affairs and communication department of the Northern Asia-Pacific region of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The university instrumental ensemble joined with vocal soloists to perform favorite folk music from around the world.
