United States Senate Chaplain Barry Black will be the keynote speaker at the “Celebration of Creation” event at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2013, at the Seventh-day Adventist Church world headquarters. The venue is located at 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD, 20904, USA.
Chaplain Black, a retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral and former Chief of Navy Chaplains, is the 62nd Chaplain of the U.S. Senate. He is also the first African-American and Seventh-day Adventist to hold the post.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church’s headquarters is holding its second annual “Celebration of Creation” to promote its understanding of a biblical account of a six-day creation of the world. The program will also feature the half-hour movie “Creation—The Earth Is a Witness” accompanied by a live orchestra.
